In the 'Book of Certitude', Bahá'u'lláh states that, 'But for him [Mullá Husayn] God would not have been established upon the seat of His mercy, nor have ascended the throne of eternal glory.' This richly illustrated account of Mullá Husayn's life (in both English and Persian) follows his struggle as the first believer in the Báb, his teaching to the Letters of the Living, his pilgrimage, and his martyrdom in the Fort at Shaykh Tabarsi. The reader experiences the birth of the Heroic Age of the new Revelation, as this narrative follows the elevation of Mullá Husayn's life from pious contemplative cleric, transformed by a vision, to a battle-weary yet triumphant warrior in the Cause of God.
